    I never had consumer debt! When I invested in income property, I had numerous mortgages. If I had to pay down consumer debt, I would have to cut back somewhere else to afford the additional payments. The additional payments and high interest rates would kill me. I think that is a major deterrent to stop me. Perhaps the next time someone starts spending more than they earn, they should tink about the outcome.,
